Today I’m launching CLKT, a WordPress plugin for saving posts and media to permanent decentralized storage.
The idea is simple: your content should be able to outlive your website, your hosting provider, your current stack, and whatever platform happens to be popular this year.
CLKT lets WordPress publishers preserve their work on Arweave, creating permanent links and durable records for posts, pages, and media.
This is day 1.
Why CLKT Exists
Most publishing still depends on fragile assumptions.
A site stays online because the hosting bill is paid. A platform keeps working because a company keeps supporting it. A database survives because backups are configured correctly and someone remembers where they are.
That’s fine until it isn’t.
I’ve watched too many blogs vanish. Not because the writing was bad or the ideas didn’t matter — but because a credit card expired, a service shut down, or someone just stopped checking whether the backups actually worked.
CLKT is built around a different assumption: some content is worth preserving beyond the lifetime of the system that first published it.
For bloggers, journalists, researchers, artists, photographers, and independent publishers, WordPress is often the source of truth. CLKT gives that source of truth a permanent storage path.
What It Does
The first release focuses on the core workflow:
- Save WordPress posts and pages to Arweave
- Include attached images and media
- Keep version history of saved content
- Create permanent Arweave links
- Support restore proofs and saved-content verification
- Use self-managed wallets for upload/payment control
The default upload path uses an external EVM wallet with Base USDC/x402 payments through Turbo. Wander/Arweave remains available as an advanced AR wallet option.
The important bit: users pay and sign with their own wallet. CLKT doesn’t custody funds or upload with CLKT-owned keys.

What Comes Next
This first GA release is the foundation — durable WordPress-to-Arweave preservation.
From here, CLKT becomes more social and more portable: collections, public records, wallet-linked identity, and better ways to collect and preserve content from across the web.
But the starting point matters.
Day 1 is about giving WordPress publishers a direct path to save their work forever.
Save forever, collect together.
